Kiša started in 2019 as an instrumental project where a bunch of musicians gave shape and depth to compositions that soon led to some kind of dark songwriting, blessed with a multilingual approach.The sound is seductive, rarefied yet steady, brutal at times, turning into a musical tale that leads the listener
through a twisty and elegant maze. A river of notes claiming their ferryman: this is the way Kiša choose to make their voice heard. Words and music dance together, and set the stage for a melancholic rock waltz within the walls of a richly decorated,
decadent living room, a remote place of the soul crowded with nostalgia, where «all those moments lost in time» are remembered, «like tears in the rain.»
The inspiration comes from the so-called “Desert Rock”, inextricably linked to Post-Punk, Goth Rock, Coldwave, Noise, and Drone Music, resulting in a nuanced and layered sonic work. The lyrics, gifted with the haiku’s sincerity and floating, are imbued with the sweet bitterness that one feels when chasing after what has been and is no more, what is gone, lost, or let go fatefully from oneself.
